Audio Visual Technology & Film
Pathway Overview
Audio-Video Technology & Film (AVTF) is a pathway that provides hands-on learning opportunities for students interested in social media, television, and the film industry.Topics include: camera operation and safety, image composition and framing, screenplay and story writing, and audio and video editing. Students use professional equipment and software to create a range of videos – from interviews and instructional movies to short films and music videos. Students’ work has won first place in state competitions for the Georgia Pollinators Club and Georgia TOME Society. Student short films have been accepted to international film festivals.
With the skills and education learned in AVTF, students prepare for employment opportunities in social media, film, and television industries. Options include:

Instructor
Mr. Hale has a B.A. in English with a minor in Film from Kennesaw State University and a Master’s Degree in Film Production from Full Sail University. He has won multiple fellowships and awards for his work. In 2022, he was awarded a Fulbright-Hays scholarship to film and photograph teachers in Tanzania.
